Wayne Allen Obituary

Wayne Wallace Allen, 88, passed away, Tuesday, May 6, 2025. A graveside service with Military Honors will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Leoni Township Cemetery, 184 Portage Rd. Jackson, Michigan, with Fr. Timothy MacDonald officiating.
Wayne was born on December 5, 1936, in Jackson, Michigan, to Albert and Rose Elizabeth (Mikolajczak) Allen. He graduated in 1955 from East Jackson Schools, and was drafted in the United States Army. Wayne will be remembered as an exceptional carpenter, building over 30 homes here in Jackson and surrounding areas. He loved the Jackson Harness Race Track, was a great pool player and enjoyed riding his motorcycle; many times, with his daughter Genifir. Wayne also had a great fondness for nature and animals. He was generous all the time to his children and friends.
Wayne will be missed by his children, Jeff (Angie) Allen, Julie (Dan) Caporusso, Don (Trell) Allen, Genifir (Allen) Harrington; his step sons, who he had a close relationship with, Butch (Deborah) Skuse and Ronald (Ree) Rentsch; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; former wife, Genevieve Owens. He is preceded in death by his parents, his late wives, Joann and Paula and eight siblings and their spouses.
