Hey Lex...
Sorry it took me so long to write. I guess I was really just at a loss for words. I still don't believe that you are really gone. I keep expecting to see you sittin on the couch at your dad's house watching tv. I think about you ALL the time. Like I mean ALL the time. Everytime I hear a song with drums, I think "Alex coulda played this song!" You were always beatin' on something! Your family misses you so much. They hurt so much inside and there is nothing anybody can say that will help. I know you're with them but they want to be with you so bad...Remember how we always fought over who got to sit in the front of Kevin's car? lol I got many a bruise from those battles! I wore those flip flops you always stole from me yesterday...you're right, they are quite comfy! I don't know what all God allows you to do from heaven but I wanted to ask a favor...If there is anyway that you can reach down and ease the pain that your mom, dad, and Kev feel...I love you Alex and I miss you!

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I was Alex's history teacher last year and cannot get his sweet face out of my mind. He was soft-spoken in the classroom, entertaining on the field and a friend to many.
I'll never forget the time I caught him passing notes under the door of an adjoining classroom. He knew he'd been caught and was worried he'd be in trouble. He was so sweet; I couldn't be angry. Relish in your happy memories and know that he is with God.
Peace be with you,

To The Family Of Alex Remember this
Act 24:15 and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
John 5:28,29- 28 Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.

I first meet Alex at Winston Lake Family YMCA, playing with the Boss Drummers. Everytime I saw Alex he had this wonderful smile on his face that would light up the room. He never had a mean bone in his body and would always make me smile, just because he was smiling. I will always remember that smile and remember Alex. To the family, Remember God's love goes a long way and he will bring you out of this. God has it all in Control and He will direct your path.

Alex, An extrordinary person never to be forgotten. We weren't the closest friends but he always greeted me with a "Hey Amber" and a warm beautiful smile. I never imagined that the last time he smiled at me would truly be the last. Alex was a bright soul and had an ora that made everyone in the room feel good! Alex we all miss you so much and If I could see you one last time I wouldn't just smile at you and respond "Hey Alex" back...I would tell you how much you are loved and missed and appreciated. Death. It is an appointment that cannot be postponed, rescheduled, or canceled. Everything happens for a reason. Maybe this is PHS's wake up call or sign. Man we need to get right. And this should definitely bring us closer together. But, "all things worketh together for good, to them who love him, according to his purpose and will." There's a tym to live, and a tym to die. I guess it was just that tym. We should take the tym to reflect back on the good tyms some of us shared and witnessed with Alex, and our life. Many of us band members remember him comming to practice or band camp, and just lightening up our day. I SEND MY CONDOLENCES TO ALL THE FAMILY. And remember that, "Earth has no sorrows that heaven cannot heal...". You will be missed dearly, We Love You!! RIP ALEX M.

You have lost your son and I have lost one of my children. Alex knew me as Momma. I drive the band bus for Parkland and he will always be one of my kids. He always had a smile on his face and loved to play with those sticks. I will miss him and please know that my prayers are with your family and the extended family of Alex at Parkland High School. Everyone that played with him and knew him liked him. He was a well mannered young man with such promise. I will miss him. Only time has a way of making the pain and loss a little easier for a person. If there is anything I can do for your family or for the rest of the family at Parkland, just ask for Momma. The drum line knows who I am as does the band director and staff. I will miss him too. Now he rests from all the stresses and plays in heaven in God's band. I'm a good listener if anyone needs to talk to someone. I love all my children at Parkland and when my son told me tonight that Alex had died, I just couldn't believe it. Trust in God and each other to help get you through this time of unbearable sorrows. Hang in there Drum Line and friends alike. Tears do not show weakness, they show love and compassion and sorrow. Don't be afraid to reach out to someone when you find yourselves overwhelmed by this loss. God is there 24/7 and I am too. All my love and prayers are with you. "Momma"

I've known Alex and Kevin since St.Matthews and ever since i have known them, I've loved them both dearly. Alex and I were in band together my senior year (c/o'04)and Alex was the one to boost up the game on the drum line. I just want his family to know that they are in my prayers. But listen, God knows what he is doing. He is the giver and the taker of life. Yes he was only with us for a short time, he touched alot of people during his stay and he will be greatly missed. Remember God will never put more on you than you can bare. I love you Alex and i will miss you.

I remeber Alex when I went to Easton Philo as well Parkland. But before I get started Alex was on of my Best friends along with Charmers and Jacqua It took me a while to figure out that he is really gone. Because Alex was a good friend , he never said anything mean or out the way to anyone. But one thing I do remeber is when Alex love to play them drums he always had sticks in his hands, I use to say dang Alex dont you ever get tired playing drums her use to just smile. But what I'm saying Alex would be remeber long after Parland High School Seniors are gone , long after Parkland High School Teachers are gone as well Parkland High School Principal. But still after all Parkland History is gone there will only be one person to remeber a person who love to play drums and perosn who was a good Friend. And that was Alex Man I miss you we was just so closes to graduation but God had a Purpose for everything. I just want Alex family know we are praying for you also and the entire Easton Community... So keep on playing them drums in Heaven until we meet again. Good Bye Alex

San,
Words cannot express the sorrow that you are enduring. I promise you if you seek God and ASK HIM FOR STRENGTH...know it's okay to be angry b/c you don't know why. Rest in the peace that passeth all understanding, and know that it's okay to cry everyday, if you need too, Noone will ever really know the true pain that you are experiencing, but God does! Please trust him and ask please ask him so that you can rest. even though you will be sad the sun will shine again. Alex will always be in your heart.God will wash every tear away. My prayers are with you and the family.

TOday we give GOD a life. A life that some may say had not lived a full life. But GOD took a life that he felt like had done his job the short while he was here. That job was to be a friend, a son and someone that touched other through his words and actions. Alex you will be missed greatly and but don't worry GOD has you now, so your soul will be at rest.

To the fanily of Alex:
I wont begin to say that I know how you feel because everyone has a different feeling of loss. Alex has been to my house with my son Lil'Chris many times. We have crossed each others path, sometimes daily, over the past 4 years with the Marching Band. I pray for your family in these coming days. Needless to say, your lives will never be the same. But, I have never seen a sad look on Alex's face. The only image I have of him is smiling. With that said, to the family, to the friends, to all the young people that even so much as said hello to Alex, keep smiling.Remember him for all the good times you had with him. Learn that we never know when we may leave this earth, and cherish every minute you have with your friends and family. It is hard to put into words how much the loss of Alex has affected the Parkland/Boss Drummer community. Obviously he had a great and important impact on many. Alex will always be loved and remembered.
