CLEMMONS - Mr. Charles Earl Prevette, 76, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, at Meadowbrook Manor of Clemmons. Mr. Prevette was born Oct. 19, 1926, in Wilkes County to Gordon W. and Maude Wood Prevette. He served his country in World War II and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Kernersville. Mr. Prevette was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Bauguess Prevette. He is survived by a sister, Sally Marie Paul of Baltimore, Md.; a brother, Fred R. Prevette of Bel Air, Md.; three nieces, Betty Shouse and husband Donald of Winston-Salem, Margie Bryant of Jonesville and Barbara Armandt and husband Neal of Boston, Mass.; three nephews, Tom Prevette and wife Ava, Johnny Prevette, and Ken Prevette and wife Kim, all of Md. A 2 p.m. funeral service will be held Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. David Neese officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
