Donald Huff Obituary
May 11, 1952 - Dec 12, 2024
On December 12, 2024, God was gracious and took Donald 'Don' Frank Huff, 72, to his heavenly home. His long painful journey of Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's has ended.
Don graduated from Mt. Tabor High School in 1971. After high school, he served in the US Army and attended the University of Maryland. He owned his own company prior to completing his career with Allied International.
Don was a lover of life's simple things: jokes, golf, woodworking, milkshakes, ice cream, BBQ, numerous trips to the beach, rides on the boat and music. He amazed us by singing so much in his final days. Most of all, Don's priority was always his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Don especially cherished his daughter, Susan, who was his light and sunshine everyday.
His passion for flying helicopters during his time in the Army continued throughout his life. Among many precious memories made, one of the most special was Don and his grandson, Salem, enjoying a helicopter adventure.
He was preceded in death by his in-laws, Fred and Peggy Leonard, who loved him as their son.
Surviving family includes his loving wife of 49 years, Robin Leonard Huff; cherished daughter, Susan Huff Allen and her husband, Scott, whom Don called 'son'; grandson, Salem; granddog, Katie Ann; and his sisters, Robin Shelf and Hylah Rushing.
Services will be private at the request of the family.
