DOBSON - Mrs. Eva Hudson Wilmoth, 88, of Cross Roads Church Road passed away Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at Elkin Health Care in Elkin. Eva was born in Surry County Dec. 3, 1914, to the late William Riley and Lougenia Coe Hudson. Mrs. Wilmoth was a homemaker and a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Wilmoth; a son, Larry Wilmoth; nine sisters; and three brothers. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Kay Wilmoth; a daughter-in-law, Jo Ann Wilmoth; and two daughters and sons-in-law, Rosemary and James Bledsoe and Elaine and Van Whitaker, all of Dobson. She is also survived by seven grandsons, Jeff Wilmoth and his wife, Lori, Barry Wilmoth and his wife, Anne, Keith Wilmoth and his wife, Emily, Danny Bledsoe, Bobby Wilmoth and his wife, Kaysa, Scott Wilmoth and his wife, Stephanie, and Jon Whitaker and his wife, Sally, all of Dobson and two granddaughters, Jami Dearmin and her husband, Steve, of White Plains and Sommer Whitaker of Baltimore, Md. She is also survived by nine great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters, all of Dobson; and several nieces and nephews The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at Cross Roads Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Her body will remain at Davis & Son Funeral Home in Dobson until carried to the church to lie in state 30 minutes before the service. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be directed to Cross Roads Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 404 Dobson, NC 27017.
