Red lived a few houses up the street from us. I enjoyed our occasional conversations, especially hearing about his work with SOSUS during the Cold War era. There was never anything specific, but I had the impression his work with submarine communication systems was classified. I had the feeling it must have been important and that he was proud of whatever he did. I will miss our too infrequent and brief conversations.

We have enjoyed spending time with Grandiddy over the years. His wealth of knowledge was amazing!
