Matthew was very special and will be greatly missed. His gentle kindness and respectful manner stood out at the VA! Always smiling. Hold tight to the memories of the heart. Dear April and family I'm deepen sadden for your loss of Matt. I worked with Matt briefly at the VA. In my presence he spoke of you and the kids often. Dear Matt, my true friend, sadly I didn't get the pleasure of knowing you long enough, but I did get to know you and for that I am thankful. I am going to miss you so much, but you have a beautiul soul and I have no doubt that I will see you again someday. I am looking forward to that day so we can laugh together again. Thank you for your friendship and all of our wonderful conversations. I could truly be myself with you and you accepted me. You don't know how much that will always mean to me. I have become a part of your family and I will watch over, protect, and pray for them through this struggle and any others that may come their way. To the Biggest Man with the Biggest Heart Ive ever known- I'll miss you lots, Buddy!Especially your sense of humor and that booming laugh.
