Robert Flowers Obituary
Aug 30, 1934 - Jul 13, 2025
Robert Daniel (Danny) Flowers, age 90, passed into the more immediate presence of his Savior on July 13, 2025. He was born in Winston-Salem to John William and Ellen Crews Flowers; and was preceded in death by daughter, Lee Ann Flowers. Danny is survived by his wife, Corky; and a daughter, Kitty Anderson, Dan; four grandchildren, Drew Jolly, Brooke, Matt Flowers, Molly Richardson and Laura Anderson; and niece, Pat Vestal; along with six great-grandchildren, Brayden and Caleb Jolly, Caroline Jackson, and Brighton, Parker and Gwendolyn Flowers.
Danny graduated from Gray High School and attended North Carolina State University. He retired as Vice President, from the Luwa Bahnson Company after 48 years of service. As a member of Fairview Moravian Church, Danny served as a diener, Sunday school teacher, usher, church board member, and Salem Provincial Board.
Danny had a great interest in playing golf, going to the beach, and dancing. He and Corky belonged to several dance groups in Winston-Salem. He loved watching cowboy shows with his dog, Mickey, and was beloved by his family.
The funeral service will be held at Fairview Moravian Church on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 1 p.m. Visitation with the family is prior to the service, from 12:15 to 1 p.m. Burial to follow at God's Acre, the Salem Moravian Graveyard.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fairview Moravian Church. Condolences may be shared online at www.salemfh.com.

Dear Corky,
I'm very sorry for your loss.
I knew Danny at Gray, and at N. C. State. Danny and Robert Johnson were a year ahead of Charlie Reid and me when they were roommates a few doors down from us. Danny had an easy laugh. I'm glad I knew him.

So sad to hear of Danny's passing. He preceded me at Bahnson by several years, but I was able to work alongside him for the latter half of his career. Danny was always kind to me and willing to share of his vast knowledge whenever I asked. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
