PORTAGE - Glenda Johnson, of Portage, WI, went to be with the Lord on December 10, 2023. Glenda was born July 4, 1954 in Dodgeville, WI to Glenn and Virginia Potterton. Glenda grew up on the family farm outside of Mineral Point, WI and graduated from Mineral Point High School Class of 1972.
Glenda and her husband, George, owned Johnson Mechanical Systems of Portage, WI for many years.
Glenda enjoyed the Green Bay Packers, fishing, boating, playing Farkle and watching Hallmark movies. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Glenda is survived by her husband, George; daughter, Melissa (Charlie) Kirk of Portage; son, Marc Weier; step-daughter, Jody (Mike) Myers of Montello; and step-son, Kevin Johnson of Madison. Glenda is also survived by her step-mother, Betty Potterton of MN; grandchildren: Trent Weier, Alexis Weier, Mahlon Kirk, Jacob Sanderson, Miguel Johnson, Angela Johnson, Vincent Johnson, Logan Myers and Lacey Myers; sisters: Gloria (Richard) McNeill of FL, Marsha (Ron) Jean of IA; sisters and brothers-in-law all of WI: Molly Campa, Micki Fuerst, Zindy (Michael) Anacker, Anita (Ron) Exley, Christian Johnson, Arlyn (Kristine) Johnson, Kermit Johnson; aunts and uncle, many nieces and nephews and cousins. Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Virginia Potterton, father and mother-in-law, Elmer and Lucille Johnson, brother-in-law, John Johnson.
There will be a private graveside service.

Glenda was my bestie since 1982, We first met as neighbors and hit it off instantly, I'm so full of memories, Some of my fondest memories we up north at the Johnsons cabin, 4 wheeling, Pontooning & fishing and of course sitting on the deck playing Farkle & beating our husbands in a game of Euchre...I miss you my dear friend..
