Eric Hamin

Nekoosa - Eric Hamin, age 57, of Nekoosa died Tuesday August 28, 2018 at Wausau Aspirus Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday September 8, 2018 at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa. Rev. David Guse will officiate. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 12:30 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM.

Eric was born March 20, 1961 in Wisconsin Rapids to Arthur and Juanita "Joy" (Miltimore) Hamin. He married Ruth Berrryman of January 10, 1981 in Port Edwards. Eric was employed by Alliant Energy, retiring in 2016. He was formerly employed at Thomas Electric and Econ Electric.

Eric was a former volunteer fireman for the Village of Port Edwards. He was a recipient of an IBEW Lifesaving Award. He loved history, especially World War II and the old west and working on old cars. An avid outdoorsman, Eric enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He loved spending time vacationing with his family. Eric also enjoyed time spent on his patio with his Great Danes.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Hamin; three children Nathan (Lindsey) Hamin of Waukesha, Jace (Michaela) Hamin of Batesville, IN and Brynn (Jacob) McDonald of Wisconsin Rapids; four grandchildren Adyson, Ronan, Reese and Raeya; five siblings Greg (Friend Peggy) Hamin of the town of Rome, Jennifer (John) Wolms of Las Vegas, NV, Jody (Amy) Hamin of Nekoosa, Todd (Donna) Hamin of Nekoosa and Chad (Tammy) Hamin of Nekoosa and by his father in law Jim Berryman of Port Edwards.

He was preceded in death by his parents and mother in law Carol Berryman.
