Nathan J. Wadsworth Sr.

Nathan J. Wadsworth, Sr., 87, of Utica, passed away October 19, 2024 at Wynn Hospital, with his family by his side. He was born, February 14, 1937, in Johnsburg, NY, a son of John and Myrtle Millington Wadsworth. On April 27, 1972, he married Janice M. Cook in Utica; a blessed union of 52 years. Mr. Wadsworth worked at Broad Acres Skilled Nursing Facility for 28 years. After its closing, he continued his career at St. Luke's Home. Nate was a talented woodworker, and enjoyed building and restoring many items. In his later years, he attended the RCIL day program, where he enjoyed crafting and made many friends. Surviving is his wife, Janice; three children, James (Jane) Wadsworth, Wendy (Alan Mack) Baskerville, and Nathan J. Wadsworth, Jr. (NJ); grandchildren, Zachary Grimes, Raymond Mack, Ronald Mack, and John Klumbach, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Emma Ketchum; brothers, George Wadsworth and Philip Wadsworth; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Daniel Wadsworth, and a sister, Anne Nutting. The family would like to acknowledge Nathan's caregivers and friends from Home & Hospital – Caroline; friends at RCIL daycare; and the Wynn Hospital ER staff.
