Judy Franklin, born May 17, 1952 is at peace and free from pain. A woman with many titles: most beloved wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, daughter, sister and auntie. So many beautiful titles she loved having. Judy fought a courageous battle of a rare form of mid gut neuroendocrine cancer also known as Carcinoid Cancer. She fought as hard as she could and tried her best to enjoy every day knowing her reward would be to find peace with her Lord.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, David, whom she adored and loved more than life itself. There was never a day that went by in their lives that they did not say "I love you" to each other. Other survivors are her loving daughter, Jenny Hartman (husband Matt) and her 3 beautiful children, Kalea, Griffin and Grady from Spring, TX. They were very involved in their Grandma's life and she and Kalea spoke often about finding their peace with God; Stepchildren, William Campbell Franklin and Kristi Angus (husband Ed)and her 3 children, Alex, Mason and Julia from Colorado; Brothers and sister: Myrna Joy Hall (husband Burt) of Leesburg, VA; Grady Martin Dorman of Honolulu, HI; Roland Gary Dorman (wife Sally) of Kodiak, Alaska and Patrick Sean Dorman of Honolulu, HI as well as her father Roland Grady Dorman of Honolulu, HI and her beloved stepmother Judy Dorman. Two people whom she loved and adored and looked up to.
During her career Judy enjoyed her work. She was a Property Manager for US Property Management, an Inventory Specialist for Sprint and most recently until 2012 an employee of AonHewitt in The Woodlands.
As a resident of The Woodlands for over 35 years she and David enjoyed a wonderful social life "growing up" with their friends, enough for a bowling team or a softball team and always enough for a party. Judy hosted an annual Christmas get together for 10 years at her home with "The Girls". They also had their annual SLUTS (Southern Ladies Under Tremendous Stress) weekend in October at Linda and John Wilcox' lake home in Lake Cherokee. So many memories with so many friends and family - as life should be.
Services to be held at The Woodlands United Methodist Church on November 26, 2013, at 3 pm. Judy wishes to express her thanks and appreciation for this group that gave her the knowledge and strength to fight this disease. Her ashes and her favorite flowers, the yellow rose of Texas, will be taken to Hawaii by her family to be forever with her beloved sea turtles.

God saw you getting tired
God saw you getting tired.
And a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you,
And whispered, "Come to me."
With tearful eyes we watched you.
And saw you pass away.
And although we love you dearly.
We could not make you stay.
A Golden heart stop beating.
Hard-working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us.
He only takes the best.
