Albert Laroche Obituary
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late William and Josephine (Dionne) Laroche.
Albert was a Sacred Heart Academy Graduate and attended courses at the URI Extension.
He was employed by Biltmore Furniture retiring in 1990. He was a devoted parishioner of Notre Dame Church, and member of St. Vincent de Paul Society. He enjoyed politics, serving on the Central Falls City Council from 1983 till 1991 retiring as Council President.
He also served on the Central Falls Zoning Board, Board of Canvassers, Housing Authority and was an avid gardener. He loved to read, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, David A. Laroche and his wife Vivian, of North Smithfield, two grandchildren, Jean-Marc Laroche and wife Kate of Cranston and Michelle Laroche of North Smithfield, two great grandchildren Morgan and Mason Laroche of Cranston and several nieces and nephews. He is pre deceased by his brother Raymond E. Laroche.
Calling hours will be held Friday, January 23rd from 4 to 7pm followed by a service at 7pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to La Salle Academy, Providence President's Special Needs fund in memory of Albert O. Laroche.
