Charlene Albee Obituary

SPRINGFIELD, Vt. - Charlene R. Albee, 56, of Springfield, Vt., died on July 9, 2015, surrounded by her family.

She was born Sept. 7, 1958, in Pawtucket, the daughter of Charles and Ruth E. (Manchester) Wood, of Cumberland.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Keith Albee of Springfield, and sons Seth Charles Albee of Chester and Tyler Harold Albee of Boylston, Mass.

Mrs. Albee graduated from Cumberland High School, Class of 1976. She graduated from Johnson State College in Vermont in 1980 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She recieved her master's degree in Education from St. Joseph's College in 1992. She taught hundreds of students in the Brandon, Bellows Falls, Chester and Ludlow school districts, most recently at Windsor Elementary School.

She was a Campfire Girl for many years. She became a leader in the Cub Scouts of America, Troop 258, and the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 252. She was know for her aerobic scouting.

Surviving siblings include David Wood; sister Terry M. Neves of Cumberland; and many nieces and nephews; great neices and great nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. at Park Place Congregational Church, 71 Park Place, Pawtucket, RI. Donations may be made in her name to Springfield Humane Society, 401 Skitchewaug Trail, Springfield, VT, 05156.
