Clifford Mitchell Obituary
Mr. Mitchell was born on September 4, 1936 in Jackson, Tennessee. After serving in the U.S. Army, he made his home in Chicago, Illinois until 1971, when he moved his family to Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Upon retirement from his 32-year career as a Master Print Press Operator at Avery Dennison in 1995, he moved to Atlanta, where his daughters and grandchildren reside.
He is survived by his two daughters, Latice (Lorenzo) Mitchell-Lewis and JaNeen (James) Wisner, both of Atlanta, GA; his son Christopher (Yolanda) Mitchell, of Clarksville, TN; his sister Clara Reaves and brother Cecil Mitchell, both of Chicago, IL; his former wife Laverne Mitchell of Atlanta, GA; three grandsons, Dajon Gates-Mitchell, Micah C. Mitchell, and Tristian Mitchell; three granddaughters, Sheridan Garland, Brittney Mitchell, and Trinity Mitchell; and two great-granddaughters, Christiana Mitchell and Autymn Rá Garland.
A memorial service with military honors will take place at 4:00 PM on September 15th at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Tucker, GA. Mr. Mitchell will be laid to rest at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
