WOONSOCKET - David A. Marcet, 56, of Woonsocket, RI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center with his loving family by his side. He is the loving significant other of Rita A. (Robitaille) Girard, and his former wife Sandra Lebrun-Marcet of Woonsocket. Born in Woonsocket, RI on March 6, 1961, he is the son of Albert and Carol (Smith) Marcet of Bellingham, MA. He is the loving father of David Marcet, Angel Kamer and her husband, Matthew, and Soleil Marcet, all of Woonsocket, RI, Adam Girard and his wife, Anna of Oakland, RI, Peter Marcet and Erin Marcet both of Woonsocket, RI. He leaves his cherished grandchildren, Alexia, Mario, Addison, Kailie, Sadie and Matthew. He is the brother of Daniel Marcet and his wife, Lydia of Uxbridge, MA, Steven Marcet of Woonsocket, RI, Christopher Marcet and his wife, Lynne of Cumberland, RI, Diane Anastasiades and her husband, Alan of Blackstone, MA, and Jennifer Hvizdos and her husband, Michael of No. Smithfield, RI.
A resident of Woonsocket formerly of Bellingham, David attended Bellingham High School and graduated from Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School in Upton, MA. He worked as a machinist at Howes Temco in Franklin, MA.
David loved going to concerts and watching sports. He was devoted to his family and will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, November 18th at 8:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 1200 Mendon Road, Woonsocket, RI. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St., Blackstone, MA. Visiting h ours are on Friday, November 17th from 5PM to 8PM at the funeral home.
