Diane Casavant Obituary
Diane worked until her retirement at MWV, formerly Polytop in Slatersville. She was a member of the Ladies Guild of St. John the Evangelist Church and had been an active volunteer at the Holy Family Church Bazaar for many years.
She is survived by her only daughter, Michelle Casavant of Cranston, her aunt Marie Jeanne Martin and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 31 at 11:00AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, Church Street, Slatersville. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Wrentham Road, Bellingham. Calling hours will be held in the Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main Street, Woonsocket, on Thursday from 5-7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Diane's memory to the general fund of St. John's Church, PO Box 266, Slatersville, RI 02876. Dear Michelle...We, the Ladies Guild of St. John's Church, Slatersville, were so deeply saddened upon learning of your Mom's passing. Your Mom was an active and dedicated member of St. John's Ladies Guild...always present for all the Guild's fund raisers, meetings, and celebrations...she cleaned, she baked, she served on our Board, and she was our "Sunshine Lady"
Memories of your Mom will live on in your heart forever, and you will feel her presence surround you always. May our dear friend rest in peace.

Michelle, I am so very sorry to learn about your mother's passing. She was a wonderful and caring person and always ready to help out with our Girl Scout troop whenever she could. I'll never forget the fantastic time we had when you, your mom, Stephanie and I went to see The Lion King on Broadway in New York City. She was truly a good friend and I will remember her fondly.

Michelle, I am so very sorry for your loss. Your mom was a wonderful and kind person always willing to lend a hand in Girl Scouts whenever she could. I have fond memories of times we shared together especially our New York trip to see the Lion King with you, your mom, Stephanie and myself. She will be remembered and missed.
