Doris M. Charest

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Doris M. (Gregoire) Charest, 90, of North Smithfield, died September 17, 2018 in St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Raymond J. Charest. Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Hormidas and Rose (Landry) Gregoire.
Mrs. Charest and her husband, Ray, were the founders of R & D Seafood in Woonsocket. They served as co-owners from 1968 - 1990.
She is survived by three sons, Richard Charest and his wife Christine of North Smithfield, Ronald Charest and his wife Carol of North Smithfield, and Marc Charest and his wife Sheila of Harrisville; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Robert Charest and sister of the late Raymond Gregoire.
Her funeral will be held Monday, September 24, 2018 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Trinity Church (formerly Our Lady Queen of Martyrs), 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Rd., Cumberland. Calling hours are Sunday from 1 - 4 PM.
