Edouard J. Lanctot

WOONSOCKET - Edouard J. Lanctot, 88, of Katherine Rd. died Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at home, with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Descoteaux) Lanctot.
Born in Albion, RI, son of the late Louis and Clarinda (Gagnon) Lanctot.
Mr. Lanctot worked as a laborer for JF White Contracting, in Boston, MA for 35 years.
He was a member of St. Agatha's Senior Citizens and served as a Eucharistic Minister for Precious Blood Church.
He was a United States Army Veteran serving in WW11.
He is survived by his seven sons, Michael Lanctot and his wife Susan of Cumberland, David Lanctot, and his wife Carolyn Lanctot, of North Smithfield, Roger Lanctot of Providence, Peter Lanctot of Providence, Charles Lanctot and his wife Celeste, of Woonsocket, Mark Lanctot, and his wife Jean Marie of New Hampshire, Edward Lanctot and his wife Karen, of Warwick, Four daughters, Patricia Charron, of Woonsocket, Mary Labonte and her husband Joseph, of Woonsocket, Jean Garoffolo, and her husband Nicholas, of Conn. and Ann Marie Ferriera of Cumberland. Three brothers, Francis Lanctot, of Millville, MA, Aldor Lanctot, of Texas, and Joseph Lanctot, of Manville. Two sisters, Doris Marchand, of North Smithfield, and Claire Creighton, of MA. 37 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
He also was the father of the late Richard and William Lanctot, and brother of the late Lucien, Raymond, Romeo and Leon Lanctot, and Louise Holubesko.
His funeral will be on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 9 A.M. from th S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Rd., Woonsocket, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Precious Blood Church, Carrington, Ave., Woonsocket, RI. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham, MA Relatives and friends are invited; calling hours are on Friday from 3-5 P.M. and 7-9 P.M.
