Eugene J. Daigle

WOONSOCKET - Eugene J. Daigle, 85, of Diamond Hill Rd. passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Juliette (Brunelle) Daigle. Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Joseph and Annette
(Theroux) Daigle.
He was a United States Army veteran serving in the Korean War. Eugene worked in maintenance and as a foreman at the former Rochambeau Worsted Company in Manville for several years prior to retiring. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 850, and also a lifetime member of the Lafayette Club. He enjoyed the casino, playing quoits, dancing, cribbage and traveling to Hampton Beach to enjoy the ocean.
Besides his beloved wife Juliette, he is survived by his five children, Eugene R. Daigle and his wife Debra of Glocester, Kenneth H. Daigle of Pascoag, Mark S. Daigle, of Woonsocket, Sandra A. McDuff and her companion Thomas W. Rickards of Woonsocket, and Brenda J. Laflamme and her husband Jeffrey of Woonsocket. Six sisters, Lucille Drainville, of Greenville, RI, Pauline Fortier of Hyannnis, Ma, Lillian Scirocco, of Woonsocket, Yvonne Piette, of Woonsocket, Vivian Daigle of Springfield, MA. and Connie St. Germain of Woonsocket. He also was the father of the late Denis Daigle and brother of the late Lucienne Marks, Suzanne Daigle and Homer Daigle.
A Funeral Home Service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11 AM in the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 1583 Diamond Hill Rd. Woonsocket, RI. Military Honors to follow. Relatives and friends are invite; calling hours are from 9-11 AM prior to the service. Burial will be private.
