WOONSOCKET - Eva (Depointe) Heroux, 76, of Woonsocket, RI passed away peacefully on October 21, 2018, at her residence.She was born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late George & Theresa (Reilly) Depointe.
Eva was director of development for Brown University, the Rhode Island Hospital and Tufts Dental School. She was very instrumental in procuring the funds needed to build the Hasbro Children's Hospital. She was also a member of the People to People organization and the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa Heroux, grandchildren Tyler and Dylan Young and a sister Sandra Peterson and her husband Henry.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday at 11am in the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Slatersville. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hasbro Children's Hospital, Rhode Island Hospital Foundation Development Office, PO Box H Providence, RI 02903.

I miss Eva coming in for her massage and us talking about our grand children. She was very proud. Especially loved shopping. I still have the photo album she gave me when my 1st grandchild was born. Many lovely memories. She loved going to Block Island to visit her sister and would tell me how much she enjoyed it. My thoughts are with her family at this time of remembering.

My heartfelt thoughts and condolences are extended to all of Eva's family. She was a remarkable woman who I came to know and love!
Eva,being a member of my Red Hat Chapter, and I
shared so many wonder-filled times together. We laugh, sang, dance and sometimes even cried ( mostly tears of joy) with each other. Although she will be missed tremendously by both myself and the rest of her Red Hat Sisters, our hearts are and will be filled with the moments and memories we shared. May all your memories of Eva bring smiles on your faces and joy in your hearts as well!! And may knowing she is smiling down on all of us and holding us close to her heart bring a little more peace to our lives at this time of sorrow!!

So sad to hear of the passing of Eva. She was one of my longtime massage clients. We always shared stories of our family especially our grandkids. When my first grand daughter was born she gave me a photo book which I still have pictures in. She talked of taking her grand sons shoppiing for their birthdays and was so proud of them. I have since moved to Florida but did hear from her at the holidays receiving lovely cards from her. She will be sadly missed but always remembered by me as such a wonderful lady.
