George Guy Obituary
Born in Woonsocket, he was son of the late Amedee and Lucille (Gignac) Guy. George was a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and spent many hours devising ways to improve his patients' lives.
He was an avid fisherman and USCG Charter Boat Captain of the "Sea Ya!," from which he shared the adventure of the high seas. He also loved life in the country, from restoring his 1800s farmhouse to exploring ways of self-sufficiency.
In addition to his wife he is survived by: three children, Abigail M. Guy, Seth R. Guy and Lance J. Guy; two sisters, Michele Larochelle and Louise Guy; and two grandchildren.
Visiting hours and funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, in the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Road, North Smithfield, from 4 to 7, with service at 7. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations entrusted to the Keene Brown Funeral Home for Lance J. Guy Trust.

Oh My, I am deeply saddened to hear of George's passing, though it has almost been a year since his passing, I just found out and though I haven't seen him for quite sometime, it is still a shock!! Funny thing is , George has been on my mind lately, so much I even thought of calling him. I sure have some wonderful and funny memories of George. I also have some very loving and beautiful heart to heart talks with him. I considered George to be a very special, close friend. My heart goes out to the Guy family, his wife and countless blessings of strength to his three children. May God Bless You All and I send Sincere Love and Sympathy. I know he is missed by many. my condolences to George's family...I worked with George and the Bellingham boys as a young man and remember George as a warm and friendly guy who always had a smile on his face... RIP old friend

A wonderful man, taken way to soon. Apple picking, boating and tubing holding the tow rope in his teeth, tagging Christmas trees and dealing with icy driveways, so many great memories. May we be strengthened by the memories until we "Sea ya" again. Love and prayers to Jill, Abbi, Seth and Lance.
