Grace Thatcher Obituary
Grace, daughter of Arthur A. and Edna M. (O'Connor) Martin, was born on February 21, 1936, in Providence, RI. On August 5, 1972, she married Edward (Whitey) O. Thatcher in Glendale RI, who predeceased her in 2011.
Grace graduated from Rhode Island Junior College in 1975, where she earned her certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and retired from Zambarano Hospital, Pascoag, RI in 1990.
Devoted mother of William Aulerich (Ann), Wendy Aulerich and stepmother of Deborah Murphy, Scott Thatcher (Ann), Mark Thatcher (Beverly) and Jeffrey Thatcher (Paula). Her son, David Aulerich predeceased her in 2006; his wife, Vicki, in 2020.
Beloved grandmother (Nanna) of Gwen Coporale (Eric), Tiffany Sauer (Christopher), Chanel Koury, Lia Cardow (Jessica), Sophia Papadopoulos, Caitlin Thatcher, Autumn Thatcher, Haley Thatcher and Nicole Thatcher. A granddaughter, Kylie Murphy, predeceased her in 2022. Loving great-grandmother of Vidia Coporale, Brierly Sauer, Peter Sauer and Grace Cook.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home 1496 Victory Hwy. Oakland, RI. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick's Church Harrisville, RI. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Grace can be made to the Alzheimer's Research and Prevention Foundation.

I loved Grace. Spent a lot of time with her and have so many good memories. Our vacations in Florida were so much fun with cousin Nancy Campbell. Love You Grace miss you so much Elaine Rousseau

I´m so sorry for your lost. She was a genuine, compassionate, lovely women. Grace and I were great friends and I will miss her so much. We had great times together especially here in Florida. We made great memories together and I will cherish those memories forever. I love you Grace Rest In Peace
