Irene M. Czerkowicz

1927 - 2018

BLACKSTONE – Irene M. (Mucha) Czerkowicz, 90, of Blackstone, passed away Thurs. Feb. 1, 2018, in the Lydia Taft House, Uxbridge. She was the wife of the late Leo G. Czerkowicz, who died in 2008.

Mrs. Czerkowicz was employed for many years as a quality control inspector for the Tupperware Co. in Smithfield until her retirement.

She was born Aug. 9, 1927, in Millville, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Paydos) Mucha. She was a graduate of Blackstone High School. Mrs. Czerkowicz had been a resident of Millville for most of her life before moving to Blackstone in 1998.
Mrs. Czerkowicz was a lifelong Communicant of St. Augustine Church in Millville.

She is survived by her children; James L. and his wife Patricia of Uxbridge, Kathleen A. and her husband Michael of Stow, Michael G. and his wife Kimberly of Blackstone, and Mary A. and her husband Stephen O'Connor of Norton; one sister, Stasia Susienka of Whitinsville; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one brother, John Mucha, and one sister, Helen Grondalski.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 North Main St. (Route 122), Uxbridge, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 17 Lincoln St., Millville.
Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Granite Street, Uxbridge.
