I will never forget Jim. I met him at the VA in the ptsd clinic and he literally helped me save my life. I owe so much of my recovery to him starting back in 1989. He was a great man and still talked about and missed by Veterans at the Providence VA Medical Center.

I'd like to extend my sincerest condolences to the Curran family. I first met Jim when I was a postdoc fellow in the mid-1980s and I had the opportunity to work part-time at what was then the Blackstone Valley Psychological Institute (BVPI) in the Marquette Plaza building. Even though I was a lowly postdoc in the Brown system, Dr. Curran always treated me with respect and a collegiality that I always appreciated. I have not had any significant contact with Jim for a number of years but I will always remember him as a gracious, highly competent, and caring professional. The Rhode Island psychological community has lost one of the good guys. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
