James Sutherland Obituary
He is the beloved husband for 13 years of Abigail Brodsky. Born in Cranston on June 26, 1963, he is the son of Jeanne (Dalpe) Sutherland of Bellingham and Richard Sutherland of Hopedale, Mass. He is the loving step-father of Tabitha Russo of Brookline, whom he adored. He is the brother of Michael Sutherland and his wife, Julie of Bellingham; Linda Kiley and her husband, Raymond of Woonsocket; and the late Brenda L. McDade and her husband, Stephen of Easton, Mass.
He is the son-in-law of Duffy W. Brodsky and the late Dr. William Aaron Brodsky of New Rochelle, N.Y.; the brother-in-law of Dr. Lisa Ring and her husband Greg Storch of Clayton, Mo.; and Dr. Lynn Brodsky and her husband, Robert Levine of Winchester, Mass. He is the uncle of Becky Ring, Michael and Kaitlyn Giangregorio, Taylor and Jacob Sutherland and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jimmy was a resident of Brookline for 15 years, formerly of Bellingham and a graduate of Bellingham High School Class of 1981 and Johnson & Wales Culinary School. He was a United States Army Veteran.
Jimmy worked in the seafood and deli departments at Shaw's Supermarket in Brookline and previously worked as a truck driver at Hyman Brickle in North Smithfield.
Jimmy was an avid sports fan of the Patriots, Bruins, Red Sox and Celtics. Devoted to his family, Jimmy will be greatly missed.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 1 at 11 a.m. at CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham. Visiting hours are on Tuesday, May 31, from 5 to 8 p.m.
