John D. "TEX" Narkiewicz

WEST WARWICK - John D. "TEX" Narkiewicz 91, passed away Monday January 29, 2018. He was the beloved husband of the late Doris R. (Rodier) Narkiewicz.
Born in Attleboro, MA he was a son of the late Leonard and Sophie (Wiejyacka) Narkiewicz. John lived in West Warwick for the past 26 years and was formerly of South Attleboro where he grew up on the family farm doing his daily chores and delivering milk.
Before retiring in 1990 John was employed as a Utility Person for Fortifiber Paper Co. of Attleboro for 26 years.
He was a WW II Army veteran serving as a Field Artillery Lineman in the Philippines and Korea with Headquarters Battery 1st Field Artillery Battalion. He loved and lived for his family. His smile was infectious.
Tex is survived by his four loving sons John L. Narkiewicz ( Karen) of Sharon, MA, Gary A. Narkiewicz (Lynne) of Attleboro Ma, James A. Narkiewicz also of Attleboro, MA and Gerard J. (Lisa) Narkiewicz of Coventry, RI. He also leaves one sister Emily St. Germain of Cumberland, RI, eight devoted grandchildren, five cherished great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Regina Filipek and William Narkiewicz.
Calling hours are respectfully omitted. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday February 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church 391 High Street Central Falls, RI. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations to BAMSI (A residential Group Home for individuals with disabilities) C/O Barbara Duffy 10 Christy's Drive Brockton, MA 02301 would be greatly appreciated.
