John A. Supers

1919 - 2015

John A. Supers, 95, of Woonsocket, RI passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Trinity Health Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Paula A. (Grenier) Supers and the late Rita (Boivin) Supers. Born in Woonsocket on June 26, 1919, he was the son of the late Anthony and Annie (Boyta) Supers. He was the loving father of the late John Albert Supers. He was the brother of the late Frank and Berta Supers. He leaves by marriage nieces, nephews in Canada. He leaves his dear friends Barney and Garcia (Gladu) Brouillette of Bellingham, MA.
A resident of Woonsocket formerly of Bellingham for over 50 years, Mr. Supers worked as a molder at Draper Corp. for many years and worked at the Mount Saint Mary's Abbey for over 30 years until retiring. He was a communicant of the former Assumption Church of Bellingham.
Mr. Supers was a World War II United States Army Veteran attaining the rank of Sergeant with the Battery C 451st Antiaircraft Artillery (AW) Battalion. He received the Good Conduct Medal, the American Defense Service Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon.
Funeral will be held on Monday, March 16th at 9:30AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM at the Mount Saint Mary's Abbey Chapel, 300 Arnold St., Wrentham, MA. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting time from 9:30 to 10:30AM at the funeral home prior to Mass.
