Muriel M. Moretti

BELLINGHAM - Muriel M. (Lachance) (Drainville) Moretti, 93, of Bellingham, MA passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Medway Country Manor. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred V. "Fred" Moretti, and her former husband the late Adelard Drainville, and her companion Robert Jackson Sr. of Bellingham, MA. She was the loving mother of Michael J. Drainville, Brenda M. Varieur, Kenneth A. Drainville and his wife Debra all of Bellingham, MA, Celeste M. Drainville and Lisa V. Drainville and her companion Steve all of Blackstone, MA, and her late daughter Gail E. Walker. She leaves her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchilren.

Born in Woonsocket, RI on October 14, 1929, Muriel was the daughter of the late Oscar and Victoria (Chaput) Lachance. She was predeceased by all her siblings, Robert Lachance, Marcel Lachance, Fernand Lachance, Gerard Lachance, Roland Lachance, Raymond Lachance, Roger Lachance, Lillian Auger, Lucille Picard, Georgette Morvan, and Theresa Lacroix. She leaves many nieces and nephews.

Muriel was a resident of Bellingham for over 60 years formerly of Woonsocket, RI. She had worked as a housekeeper for many years before retiring in 1992. She previously had worked at Bell Co. Worcested Mill in Woonsocket, Hodgeman Rubber Co. in Framingham, MA, and Hasbro in Central Falls.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 4th at 11AM at Cartier's Funeral Home, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Burial will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are from 9AM to 11AM prior to service.
