Norman Macintyre Obituary


BELLINGHAM - Norman F. MacIntyre, Sr., 90, formerly of Whitinsville, died Saturday, August 11, in the Milford Regional Medical Center. His wife, Mary (Cooper) MacIntyre, died in 2013. He is survived by two sons, Norman F. MacIntyre, Jr., of Chepachet, and David J. MacIntyre, of Bellingham; a daughter, Cynthia Bernard, and her husband, Adam, of Bellingham; six grandchildren, Adam and Justin Bernard, Paul, Christopher, Kristin and Norman F. MacIntyre, Jr; several great and graet great grandchildren; and a sister. Mary Smith, of Salem, South Carolina. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard MacIntyre.
Mr. MacIntyre was born in Burlington, Vermont, December 12, 1927, a son of Norman and Viola (Whitney) MacIntyre. He grew up in Whitinsville, where he graduated from Northbridge High School in 1945, and he moved to Bellingham in 1966.
He was a systems analyst at Crosby Valve and Gauge Company in Wrentham for 35 years, and he was a United States Navy veteran.
Mr. MacIntyre enjoyed gardening, was an expert knitter, and enjoyed many trips to Canada with his wife, Mary.
A Memorial Funeral Service will be held at 1pm, Sunday, August 26, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street, Whitinsville, MA. Burial will be private,
