Raymond M. Parent

WOONSOCKET - Raymond M. Parent, 96, of Woonsocket, RI, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at the Blackstone Valley Health & Rehab in Whitinsville, MA. He was the beloved husband of the late Fernande M. (Lussier) Parent. He was the loving father of Linda A. Levesque and her husband, Rene of North Smithfield, RI, Susan M. Dicks and her husband, Brian of Blackstone, MA, and Ronald G. Parent of Raleigh, NC. He leaves his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Born in Woonsocket, RI on October 22, 1927, he was the son of the late Adelbert and Belva (Brunelle) Parent, and the brother of Eugene, Normand, Leo, Adelbert, Robert, Theresa and Yolande, and many nieces and nephews.

Ray was a lifelong resident of Woonsocket. He worked as a shipper at Avery Dennison for over 35 years until retiring.

He was an avid bowler, coached CYO Girls softball and basketball teams. He was a former member of the Cercle Laurier and a communicant of St. Agatha's Church. He enjoyed traveling and vacationing with his family at Cape Cod. Devoted to his family, he will be greatly missed.

Visiting hours are on Thursday, January 4th from 5PM to 7PM at Cartier's Funeral Home, 151 So. Main St., Bellingham, MA. Funeral will be held on Friday, January 5th at 9AM from Cartier's Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Agatha's Church, 34 Joffre Ave., Woonsocket, RI. Burial will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, 310 Wrentham Rd., Bellingham. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Raymond M.
