Richard Carpentier Obituary

Richard J. Carpentier, 78, of Medway, passed away peacefully December 20 at Milford Regional Hospital surrounded by loved ones.
Richard was fortunate to have found 2 wonderful women to spend his life with, his wife Barbara (Pisarchick) Carpentier, who passed away in 2013 and his Fiancé Linda Martino of North Providence, Rhode Island.
Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, May 4,1942, the son of the late Ralph and Jeanne (Gravel) Carpentier, Richard had been a machinist with the Dresser Corporation before his retirement.
He enjoyed his many trips to Myrtle Beach and all of the time spent with his family. Richard participated in multiple bowling leagues in Woonsocket and was a member of the Franklin Elks Club.
Mr. Carpentier served in the Navy during the early 1960's attaining the rank of E-3.
He is survived by his daughter Patricia Kenney and her husband Jim of Medway.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Andrew Kenney and his wife Joanna of Henderson, Nevada and Patrick Kenney of Medway.
He was the brother of the late Edgar Carpentier.
His funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 29 in St. Joseph Church, Medway at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway.
In lieu of flowers , the family asks that donations be made in his memory to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 20 Prospect Street, Milford, MA 01757.
