Richard Houle Obituary
Rick's vibrant and dashing smile is remembered by all that he served and worked with at his beloved Scarlett O'Hara's. His passion for people, a good time and elaborate stories created countless memories for tourists and regulars alike over the course of 16 years.
Rick maintained the friendships he began at Scarlett's as he continued his professional endeavors at Southeast Floating Docks and the Conch House Marina. No matter where Rick traveled, he never met a stranger, and he was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Rick balanced his hard-work ethic with his love for riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and never missed a first Saturday at Home Depot with his son, RJ.
Rick is preceded in death by his father and best friend, Richard Arthur Houle. He is survived by his two children: daughter, Major Alicia L. Pruitt, and her husband Joe Pruitt of Savannah, Georgia; son, Richard James "RJ" Houle and RJ's mother Maria Rodengen of St. Augustine; his mother, Jeanne Houle of Cosby, Tennessee, and his two sisters, Louise Houle Levasseur and her husband George Levasseur of Uxbridge, Massachusetts, and Jeannette Houle Ritter and her husband Sean Ritter of St. Augustine. Rick was also "Pepere" to two granddaughters: Abigail and Olivia Pruitt.
The family will host a celebration of life at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 10th at Faith Fellowship Church, 647 Douglas Street, Uxbridge, MA with the Rev. Glen McCutcheon officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Rick's memory by spending meaningful time with your loved ones today; tomorrow is promised to no one.

Rick will forever be in my heart and my two son's hearts. We shared a lot of family time. Rick was extremely generous with his time and his heart to my entire family!!!!! We never lost sight of each others heart and always knew that was forever no matter where we stood in life. What a loss this is for all of us. I still have not let it sink in.
