Robert A. Parmentier

1951 - 2017

BLACKSTONE - Robert A. Parmentier, 65, of Blackstone, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017, after suffering a series of long life-debilitating illnesses, at Milford Regional Medical Center with loving family by his side. Born in Woonsocket on June 24, 1951, he is the beloved son of Jeannette D. (Ethier) Parmentier of Woonsocket and the late Rene J. Parmentier. He is the brother of John P. Parmentier and his wife, Joyce, of Blackstone; Marcel Parmentier of North Attleboro; Suzanne St. Jacques of Woonsocket; and Anne Marie Burdette of North Attleboro. He leaves his two nieces, nine nephews and many cousins.

Robert had worked at Draper Corporation in Hopedale, Mass., and also worked at the former Flame and Sword, in Mendon, Mass., as a waiter. He was a graduate of the Mount St. Charles Academy Class of 1969, where he played junior varsity hockey. He then attended Lowell Technological Institute, and Worcester State College, where he continued his hockey skills. He was an avid hockey player and devoted Bruins fan. In his youth, Robert also enjoyed playing baseball for the Town of Blackstone Leagues. Robert will be greatly missed.

Funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 12, at 9 a.m. from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 South Main St. (Route 126), Bellingham, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farm Street, Blackstone. Visiting hours are on Tuesday, April 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
