Santo Sciolto Obituary

JOHNSTON - Santo Sciolto, 95, of Johnston, RI, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at his home. He was the husband of the late Lucille (Debigare) Archambault and his late companion Elizabeth Bacci.

He was the son of the late Vincenzo and Francesca (Demaio) Sciolto, brother to the laate Esther Ruggerio and Vincent Sciolto Jr. both of Providence. Santo leaves two daughters, Jeannine Chisholm and Lillian Borges both of Florida and his late children, Claire Belhumeur, Aram Archambault, Constance Butman and Suzanne Masino, 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 26 great-great grandchildren and a triple great newborn grandchild. Extended family includes; 2 nephews, 4 nieces a combination of 37 great and great-great nieces and nephews along with several cousins.

Santo was a United States Navy World War II Veteran serving on the U.S.S. Darby (De-218) during 1943-46, as Ships Cook,Third Class.

Santo Sciolto married Lucille (Debigare) Archambault in 1948, raising six children. His career as an iron worker in the construction industry continued to be his favorite past time in later years, visiting local sites daily with his nephew Richard Sciolto. Santo loved his family, enjoyed his friends and neighbors. He will be greatly missed.

Arrangements are private due to COVID-19 Restrictions. A Mass will be held at a future date and time to be advised.
