Therese C. Laquerre

1928 - 2015

BLACKSTONE - Therese C. (Ladouceur) Laquerre, 86, of Blackstone, MA passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Landmark Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Laquerre. Born in Woonsocket, RI on December 27, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Romelus and Alice (Dufresne) Ladouceur.
A polio survivor, was the loving mother of Leo Laquerre and his wife, Maureen of Bellingham, MA, Michael Laquerre and his wife, Cynthia of Bellingham, MA, and Richard Laquerre and his wife, Sharon of Burrillville, RI. She leaves her cherished six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Jacqueline Derouin of Woonsocket, RI, Florette Ladouceur of Blackstone, MA, Jeannine Panu of Blackstone, MA and the late Fernande Remillard, Raymond and Roger Ladouceur.
Mrs. Laquerre was a longtime resident of Blackstone formerly of Woonsocket, she worked as a sales clerk for 26 years at Social Department Store. She was a communicant of St. Theresa Church, Blackstone and a member of the St. Theresa Senior Citizens Club and a member of the Early Village Seniors Club. She was an avid bowler, loved to bake, crochet, play cards and spending time with her family. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, February 7th at 9:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone, MA. Interment will follow at Resurrections Cemetery, Cumberland, RI. Visiting hours are on Friday, February 6th from 5 to 8PM at the funeral home.
