Thomas R. Dalton

BURRILLVILLE - Thomas R. Dalton, 72, of Oak Terrace, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Bayberry Commons, Pascoag, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Pamela (Brown) Dalton. Mr. & Mrs. Dalton had been married for fifty-two years.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, a son of the late Raymond and Bernice (Burns) Dalton, he had lived in Woonsocket and St. Petersburg, Florida, before moving to Mapleville over twenty-five years ago.
Mr. Dalton was a truck driver for the Providence & Worcester Railroad, retiring in 1987. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served during the Vietnam War.
He was an avid Miami Dolphins and Detroit Tigers and Lions fan, and enjoyed camping in the mountains, and volunteering as a Little League Baseball coach in Woonsocket and St. Petersburg. He was a communicant of St. James Church, Manville.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Ann Marie Rageotte of Manville, and Kimberly McNeilly of Oxford, N.C.; two sons, Thomas J. Dalton of Bellingham, MA, and Patrick K. Dalton of Mapleville; nine grandchildren; one great grandson; and his brother-in-law, Keith Brown of Mapleville.
His funeral will be held Friday, April 20, 2018 at 8:45 a.m. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln, with the celebration of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. James Church, 33 Division Street, Manville.
