Mary F. Ovist

Mary F. Ovist, 47, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025 at UW Hospital in Madison. She was born on February 26, 1978 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Michael and Diana (Farrell) Crooks. Mary was a 1997 South Beloit High School graduate. She married Jason Ovist on February 28, 2019 in Treasure Island, FL. Mary was employed by The DeLong Company as a Documentation Export Specialist. She was a loving mother, perfect wife, and opened her arms to everyone. Mary enjoyed gambling, riding their Harley, and going to Bagley, WI, to visit Mary and Arnie. She adored her children and grandchildren. Mary was very strong and will be dearly missed by all who were lucky to know her. Survivors include her husband, Jason Ovist; children, Bailey (Gerald Vaughan) Shain and Megan Speich; step children, Kelsie (Phil Mena) Duzan, Courtney (Brooke Irwin) Ovist, and Corbin (Kayli) Ovist; six grandchildren, Charleigh, Elaina, Avayah, Macey, Caysen, and CeJay, and another on the way; mother, Diana Shockley; father, Mike (Debbie) Crooks; sisters, Carla (Chris) Cornell and Tonya (Rick) Schrupp; brother, Brad Crooks; in-laws, Jim (Deb) Ovist; brother-in-law, Jamie (Shannon) Ovist; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and beloved dogs, Wisco and Sconnie. Mary was predeceased by her granddaughter, Olivia and grandparents. A Visitation of Remembrance for Mary will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI, with sharing of memories at 6:00 p.m.
