Luke M. Yoder

Luke M. Yoder, age 21, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at 5:45 PM on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born in Mt. Eaton, Ohio, on September 26, 2003, the son of Melvin W. & Mattie D. (Hershberger) Yoder. Luke was employed by Byers Construction. He loved his job and everything in entailed from carpentry work, farming, or working in the mechanic/welding shop. He enjoyed singing, welding, mechanics, had an interest in airplanes, and was known for his calm and steadfast personality. Luke was a member of the Worthington Christian Fellowship Church. He is survived by his parents; maternal grandparents, Daniel & Fannie Hershberger; step paternal grandfather, Melvin Yoder; seven siblings, Mary Ada, Kay Anna, Joas, Wesley, Jesse, Lyle Dean, and Anthony Earl Yoder; his 10 uncles and 3 aunts on the Yoder side; his 7 uncles and 9 aunts on the Hershberger side; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William & Elsie Yoder; maternal aunt, Rebekah; and a cousin, Timothy. Visitation will be held at the Worthington Christian Fellowship Church on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be held at Elnora Bible Institute at 9:30 AM (with doors open at 8:30 AM) on Monday, August 18, 2025, with Bishop Leon Hershberger officiating.
