Sharon Christmas Obituary

Sharon Fryrear Christmas, age 83, of Linton, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Cedar Creek Memory Care in Bloomington. She was born in Linton, IN on July 1, 1942, the daughter of Hud & Verna (Ellis) Goodman. She was a 1960 graduate of Linton High School. She worked at Target for several years as a stocking shelves and was a member of the Hillside United Methodist Church in Princeton. She also enjoyed doing volunteer work for the Salvation Army, playing bingo, meeting up with her friends every morning at McDonald's to socialize and loved animals and gardening. Sharon is survived by her loving children, Shari (Bradley) Braselton of Ellettsville and Shannon Fryrear of Owensville; grandchildren, Zachary Fryrear, Bradley (Brittney) Fryrear, Logan Fryrear and Kristen Braselton; great grandchildren, Jacob Fryrear, Brenton Fryrear, Brantly Fryrear and Brayden Fryrear. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Gordon Fryrear and David Christmas as well as her sister Sylvia Alkire. Graveside service will be held at Burris Chapel Cemetery at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 12, 2025, with Josh Hubbell officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton. Online condolences can be sent at www.welchcornett.com.
