Herbert Beckett Obituary
Herbert was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. Herbert worked many years as a clerk for the WV Library Commission.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Shirley A. Smith and two stepdaughters, Julie Horton and Molly Nolte.
It was Herbert's wish to have no funeral service.
Arrangements are in the care of Long and Fisher Funeral Home.

SO sorry about Herb. I´m in South Carolina, but news travels!
We all had adventures at the WVLC ... it was a great place to work, and is forever stored in my memory bank.
I hope you´re doing well.

Shirley, I am so sorry for your loss. Herb was a great friend and his dry sense of humor was the best! Because of the weather I didn´t get a newspaper all week and just found out about his passing. He was such a good friend both with a fishing pole and a guitar, but most importantly he always made me laugh!
