Jerry Preast Obituary
He was a retired coal miner, member of the UMWA and member of Esta Memorial Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Cecil and Lula Hypes Preast; son, Rodney Preast; brothers, Thomas and Dennis Preast and sister, Christina Preast.
Surviving are his wife, Janice Preast; son, Donnie Preast (Jessica) of Beech Glen; daughter, Amy Hunt (P.J.) of Campbells Creek; brothers, Dencil Preast (Audrey) of Victor, Howard Preast (Cathy) of Swiss, David Preast (Evie) of Jody, Cecil Preast Jr. (Nancy) of Indore; sisters, Carolyn Young and Mary Taylor (Gaylord) all of Swiss; grandchildren, Cayden and Connor Hunt and Hunter Preast and many nieces and nephews that he loved.
In keeping with Jerry's final request, his cremation wishes will be honored and there will be a memorial service held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Esta Memorial Baptist Church, Witcher with Pastor Randy Wilson officiating. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to service time at the church on Saturday.
