James Sneed Obituary
YADKINVILLE — James Allen Sneed, 83, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017, at his home. He was born May 16, 1934, in Surry County to the late Troy Ford Sneed and Beulah Groce Sneed. Allen retired from R.J. Reynolds as a supervisor, and he served as county commissioner for Yadkin County. Allen was a member at Deep Creek Friends and served on several committees for the church. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Wilma Reavis Sneed; son, Steve Allen (Kathy) Sneed; grandchildren, Kasey Sneed (fiancé, John Davis), Brett Sneed, Dustin Sneed; sister, Carol Sneed (Donnie) Williams. His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, at Deep Creek Friends by the Rev. Randy Quate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Flowers accepted, or memorials can be made to Deep Creek Friends, 2836 Country Club Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Sneed family.
