Amy Brightbill Obituary

YORK Amy J. (Hengst) Brightbill, 33, died at 11:21 a.m., Saturday, August 18, 2007, at M.S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. She was the wife of Craig H. Brightbill, II, with whom she celebrated her 10th anniversary with on September 21, 2006. She was born November 18, 1973, in York, daughter of Joanne R. (Huson) Hengst of Red Lion and the late Donal G. Hengst. Amy was a registered nurse working on 6 Main at the York Hospital. Amy was a 1992 graduate of Central York High School and a 1996 graduate of the nursing program at York College. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and a loving wife and devoted mother to her family. In addition to her husband, Craig, and her mother, Joanne, she is survived by a daughter, Alyssa G. Brightbill; and a son, Dillon H. Brightbill, both living at home; a brother, Brett A. Hengst and his wife, Cheryl of Newberrytown; and three nieces, Jaidyn R. Hengst, Katie R. Sites, and Brianna L. Sites. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church, 1401 Mt. Rose Ave., York, with Amy's cousin, Pastor Bradley Huson of Foursquare Gospel Church, Utica, N.Y., officiating. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York. There will be no public viewing on Thursday. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Neuroscience ICU, P.O. Box 850, Mail code H132, Hershey, PA 17033-0850; or Bethany United Methodist Church, 1401 Mount Rose Ave., York, PA 17403; or to the Brightbill Children Fund, c/o Fulton Bank, 1500 Kenneth Road, York, PA 17404.
