Anna M. Eckenrode

Anna M. Eckenrode died Friday, November 28, 2003, at 9 a.m. at the York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harry D. Eckenrode. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Workinger-Semmel Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 849 E. Market St., York. Officiating will be the Rev. Steven C. Almquist, pastor of Living Word Community Church. Viewing will be Tuesday 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will follow at White Rose Crematorium with burial to be private. Mrs. Eckenrode was born in York. She was a daughter of the late Edgar C. and Mary F. (Kraft) Ranker. Mrs. Eckenrode was a machine operator for USA Direct. She was a graduate of Dover Area High School and a member of both the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagle Fire Co. in Mt. Wolf. and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Surviving are five sons, Anthony M. Miller of Red Lion, Thomas L. Miller and Jeffrey E. Miller, Sr., both of Manchester, David E. Eckenrode of York and James F. Miller, Jr. of Texas; 11 grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
