Dereck T. Sease

YORK Dereck Tyrell Sease, 31, entered into rest on Sunday, August 2, 2009, at York Hospital. Dereck was born August 5, 1977, in York, to Dorothea Sease and Keith Banks. He attended York City Schools where he was very active in sports. Football was his passion and in his younger years he played for the South York Warriors. His last employer was R&R Donnelley. Dereck was a very loving father and was extremely close to his family. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Redina Sease; paternal grandfather, Edward Banks; six sons, Dereck, Jr. of Lancaster, D'Erick, Dereck, Shammel, Davontae, and Tyi'rell, all of York; two daughters, Shania of North Carolina and Di'Asia of York; three brothers, Kenneth Jones, William Scales, and Keith Wallace, all of York; four sisters, Candyce Jones, Quanda Simmons, Keiaysha Banks, and Kenisha Stewart, all of York; and a girlfriend, Diamond Rojas of York. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to cherish his memory. Dereck was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Gerald Hickman; paternal grandmother, Betty Banks; and maternal great-grandmothers, Lottie Bell Sease and Virginia McCleary. There will be a viewing from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday at Open Door Christian Fellowship Church, 155 S. Hartley St., York. A celebration of life service will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
