Iva S. Hoover

MOUNT WOLF Iva S. (Kauffman) Hoover, 83 died at 12:55 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at Manor Care South. She was the wife of Earl M. Hoover, who died December 14, 2000. Iva was born November 16, 1923, in Manchester Twp. She was the daughter of the late Emory and Hattie (Stare) Kauffman. She was an active and lifetime member of Starview United Church of Christ; A.A.R.P. South East York Chapter 1246; and Farm Women of York. Iva is survived by three daughters, Paula Hoover and Alice Sullivan, both of Mt. Wolf, and Elaine Tacka of Arlington, Texas; two sons, Daniel Hoover and Thomas Hoover, both of Mt. Wolf; four grandchildren; two nieces; and two nephews. A funeral service to remember Iva will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2007, at Starview United Church of Christ, 4832 N. Sherman St., Mt. Wolf. Viewings will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 S. Main St., Mt. Wolf, and Monday at the church from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will be in Hoover's Cemetery.
