Davenport, FL
Jack Norman Kann, 75, passed away at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, July, 26 2016 at Good Shepherd Hospice Hospital in Auburndale, FL. He was the husband of the late Linda R Yingling (Hake) of Dover. Born October 8, 1940, in Manchester, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Viola M. Kann (Hahn) of Starview.
Jack was a 1959 graduate of Manchester High School. He retired from Consolidated Freightways in 1995 as a truck driver.
He was a member of the 13th Ward Political Club, Wago Club and Mt. Wolf VFW.
Jack is survived by a grandson, Dalton Frye of York; two daughters, Angela Frye-Scheidler and husband, Matthew of York and Lorri Yingling of Dover; a sister, Darlene Geesey and late husband, George of Manchester; nephew, Matthew and wife, Donna and daughter, Kathryn of Fort Mill, SC; and niece, Susan of Elizabethville.
Jack was an avid NASCAR fan and loved watching his grandson, Dalton, race go-karts and stock cars.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation Wednesday evening, September 7 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the York County Racing Club, 4255 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17404.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The York County Racing Club's Injured Drivers Fund, 568 Yale St., York, PA 17403.

A very close friend from High School, Jack and I shared some very happy times. He loved belonging to the Sportsters Auto Club of North York and going to the drag races in Lancaster in the late 1950's. My husband Owen and I wish you peace. And peace to his family.
