Janet Gladfelter Loucks

Janet Gladfelter Loucks, 87, died Sunday, August 7, 2005, at Autumn House West. She was the wife of the late Harvey A. Loucks. A visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 839 W. Market St., York, followed by a 2:30 p.m. funeral service at the church, with the Rev. Kevin Shirey officiating. Burial will be in Zeigler's Cemetery, Seven Valleys. The John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St., York, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Loucks was born June 12, 1918, in Gladfelter Station, a daughter of the late Clarence L. and Gertrude (Tyson) Gladfelter. She retired in 1980 as financial secretary of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, of which she was also a member. She was a 1938 graduate of West York High School. Mrs. Loucks is survived by three children, Harvey A. Loucks II and his wife, Ruth Ann of York, Sue L. Hoxworth and her husband, Richard G. of Lancaster, and Jane E. Loucks of York; two grandchildren, Kate E. Loucks and Jonathan R. Hoxworth; and a sister, Phyllis Mae Warfel of Lititz. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dwight Gladfelter.
