Madison J. Overfelt, 16, died suddenly at home on Monday, September 19, 2016.
Madison was born in Baltimore, Md. on September 25, 1999. He was currently in the 11th grade at Spring Grove High School. Madison was a loving, beautiful soul, a friend to everyone, and a believer in bringing people together. He taught us to love without judgement and to comfort all in need.
He will be sadly missed by his loving parents, Amy and Thomas Steele and Timothy and Tracey Overfelt; his stepsisters, Alissa and Emily Steele; his maternal grandparents, Charles Williams and Linda Ludford; his paternal grandparents, Walter and Veronica Overfelt; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 7 p.m. at Grace Fellowship, 1405 Seven Valleys Road, York, PA 17408, with Pastor Ed Short officiating. Family services are under the direction of Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc. of Spring Grove.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Four Diamonds Fund (http://fourdiamonds.donordrive.com/campaign.madison); or the American Suicide Prevention Fund.

Our heartfelt sorrow and sympathy goes out to your loss. Everyone in our family especially our son, John, is devastated and deeply saddened. John considered Madison a great teammate and a wonderful friend. I remember Madison giving John a ride home from soccer more than a few times. I also remember John and Madison congratulating each other after soccer games. That's the kind of friends they were. They both admired and respectedr one another. It is really so sad he is gone.
